COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) unveils its 2024 Strategic Plan, a forward-thinking blueprint designed to elevate the global strength and conditioning profession. This roadmap reflects the NSCA’s commitment to driving progress through education, promotion and community, while facilitating the highest levels of evidence-based practice.

Developed with the combined efforts of the NSCA Board of Directors, key staff, Professional Development Groups (PDGs), and international affiliates, this strategy unites the organization under a shared vision for excellence over the next three years.

At its core, the 2024 Strategic Plan is built around three foundational pillars:

  • The Profession: Advance strength and conditioning globally by advocating for its critical role in human performance, building strategic partnerships, promoting the value of certified professionals, and addressing emerging challenges.
  • The Professional: Empower coaches, practitioners, and educators to lead the industry through ongoing professional development, advocacy, and a global community dedicated to growth, connection, and collaboration.
  • The Organization: Align resources, processes, and efforts to amplify NSCA’s visibility, influence, and effectiveness — achieving measurable outcomes that benefit certified professionals, NSCA Members, and the profession.

“We want to build a profession that we can be proud of. We want to build professionals who reflect the highest levels of skill, knowledge, and education. And we want to build an organization that really is fit for purpose,” states NSCA President Ian Jeffreys. “The only way we can achieve these goals is if everybody takes their part. Everybody participates — whether that’s as an individual, as part of a Special Interest Group, or as part of the Professional Development Groups.”
