This month, we have a cover story 40 years in the making. Congratulations to everyone at World Gym International as they’re celebrating their 40th Anniversary this year, and part of that celebration will take place in Orlando at IHRSA’s 35th Annual Convention in March.
The Joyce Cammilleri Family in Los Angeles has owned world Gym International for seven years since they bought the company from Planet Fitness in 2009. Mike Uretz had inherited World Gym from Joe Gold and ultimately sold it to Planet Fitness. During the first seven years of Cammilleri Family ownership, the company has expended significant time modifying and improving the operation for the future. The results are now becoming clear on several fronts.
