Peloton Strength+ App Dedicated to Strength Training Launches Out of Beta

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Peloton continuously strives to meet the needs of its Members, whether that’s at home or in the gym. With Strength as its second most popular modality, the company has made it a priority to expand its content offerings for new and current members.

In September we began beta testing Peloton Strength+, an app for those who want to engage more deeply in strength workouts for all fitness levels. As we continue to build as a leader in the strength space, today, Strength+ launches out of beta as our new, stand-alone app dedicated solely to strength training.

The new Peloton Strength+ app offers an efficient and tailored way for current and future Members to have more flexibility in their gym-centric workouts with custom workouts tailored to individual goals, preferences, and available equipment, and multi-week, Instructor-led workout programs. Whichever option a Member chooses, all workouts are paired with audio guidance and expert coaching for various commonly used gym equipment such as cable machines, barbells, leg presses, leg extensions, kettlebells, medicine balls, and more. The app launches with content from Instructors Rad Lopez, Andy Speer, Ben Alldis, Assal Arian, Rebecca Kennedy, and Jermaine Johnson, along with informational guides and new Peloton Clips, instructional how-to-videos.

The Strength+ app includes the following features:

  • Workout Generator: Create custom workouts tailored to specific goals and preferences, including muscle focus, workout length, available equipment, and experience level.
  • Expert-Led Programs: Multi-week, self-paced programs guided by Peloton’s top strength coaches are available for the ultimate combination of motivation, guidance, and results.
  • Seamless Guidance: Audio cues and tips through video demonstration and in-ear coaching help guide Members during workouts.
  • Detailed Progress Tracking: Ability to log used weights and reps allowing Members to see their journey unfold and celebrate every milestone along the way. The app also connects with the Apple Watch® to track progress effortlessly.
  • Get Gym Ready with Clips: A library of instructional videos for everything from exercise demonstrations to equipment setup, ensures Members are fully prepared for every workout.
  • Use Your Own Audio: Members can leverage their preferred audio app and still hear the coach’s cues no matter what they choose to play in the background.

Throughout the beta period, there were a number of learnings that informed functionality updates included in the current Peloton Strength+ launch, including the ability to bookmark custom workouts, swap or reorder movements, and improvements that enhance the Instructor guidance of the app. Strength+ also provides clips of movements and other short-form videos from the Instructors, and hosts educational materials on how to improve form and select weight levels on different equipment.

Peloton Strength+ is available in the US for iOS devices, with a limited number of introductory memberships for $1 per month for the first six months. After the introductory period, memberships will be $9.99 per month. Strength + is available at no additional cost for All Access, Guide, and App+ Members.
