NEW YORK, N.Y. – Peloton (“Company”) is laser focused on creating accessible, motivating fitness and wellness offerings at every level, from beginner to expert. While the Company loves to innovate and create new experiences, it’s important it does so in an informed way. Hearing from current and potential future members gives the Company real-world learnings that shape how it shows up for its community every day.

In fact, as we move through our 2025 fiscal year, there are a few areas of interest we keep hearing about from our Members: personalization, expanded strength needs, and additional gaming-inspired workout options. So, in the coming days and weeks, we are launching three, public-facing beta software programs focused on these areas. These beta tests will help us gather important insights to potentially hone concepts, assess their viability, and understand if we are best meeting current and future Member needs. The audience for these beta tests will be limited to a small subset of US-based testers [including both Peloton Members and non-Members], and will be capped once we reach capacity.

We are excited to test and learn with the following applications:

  • Personalized Plans: Creating a fitness routine tailored to specific goals and needs removes friction for many who are unclear on where to start. As a result, we are testing Personalized Plans on the Peloton App. These plans will merge expertly-designed personal training and machine learning to generate a weekly set of class recommendations. We take someone’s unique fitness habits, preferences, and tastes and propose a detailed plan of Peloton classes that supports each person’s individual needs. At the launch of this beta, Members will be able to select from two initial goals (with the potential for more to be added during the testing process): Get Stronger or Support Weight Goals – two of our most requested fitness targets. Selected Members will be able to choose from the classes suggested, or other similar Peloton workouts. After opting into the plan on the Peloton App, Members will see their weekly recommended routine in the App. Plans will also be viewable via their Peloton Bike/+, Tread/+ and Row.
  • Peloton Strength+ App: Strength is our second most popular modality with millions of people taking our strength classes each week. As a result, we are testing Peloton Strength+, currently intended to be a standalone app for those who want to engage more deeply in strength workouts while at the gym. Strength+ will initially be released as a beta app for iOS users in TestFlight – an online service for testing mobile applications. It will offer Instructor-led workout programs in a gym setting, paired with audio guidance and expert coaching, as well as a custom workout generator that designs a plan based on equipment access, areas of focus, time availability and more.
  • Gaming-Inspired Workouts: On the heels of the success of Lanebreak, Peloton’s current gaming-inspired feature, we will be conducting a small beta test for a new immersive, gaming-inspired cycling experience meant to encourage social engagement. Users will be able to cycle in a virtual training environment, including a personalized avatar riding through simulated landscapes, either alone or with other virtual riders. This is the first time Peloton will be exploring this kind of gaming-inspired offering and is looking forward to feedback from the testing group, once the beta launches.

While launch dates for these beta tests will not be concurrent, the ongoing feedback collected will be instrumental in refining and optimizing these offerings, ensuring the final versions (if launched) deliver maximum value and satisfaction. We look forward to hearing feedback and are excited about the possibilities ahead!
