LOUISVILLE, KY<\/strong> – Genesis Health Clubs announces the acquisition of Lexington Tennis Club, effective immediately. The club, now known as Genesis Health Clubs – Lexington Tennis Club, represents the 66th in the ever-growing Genesis portfolio, and the third in Kentucky.<\/p>\n Genesis Health Clubs Owner and President Rodney Steven II expressed enthusiasm: \u201cThis company grew to where it is today by acquiring iconic tennis facilities, and updating them for the years and decades to come. With one of the best tennis communities in the entire region, the Lexington Tennis Club is a perfect fit for us, and we can\u2019t wait to welcome members and staff to the Genesis family.\u201d<\/p>\n When asked about plans for the facility, Steven continued, \u201cGenesis typically owns its facilities, and that\u2019s the case with this club. This is a massive tennis facility, with 15 indoor courts. We plan to revitalize and refresh that, as well as really investing in the fitness component, to make this a health club that will serve fitness for the entire Lexington community.\u201d<\/p>\n Asked about the impact on staff and members, Steven continued, \u201cWe plan to welcome the staff into the Genesis family and bring them 401k plans, health insurance, and a lot of the benefits that can be hard to come by in the industry sometimes. Staff is family at Genesis and they\u2019re about to join a great one. As for the members, this is such an exciting time for them. They\u2019ll continue with the same great programming they\u2019ve got right now, but we\u2019ll also be reinvesting in the facility, and they gain access to our clubs in Louisville, plus more than 50 others across 8 states, at no extra charge.
