The inaugural Spotlight Theme for the 2024 Annual Meeting, as chosen by the new Spotlight subcommittee, is \u201cPrecision Health.\u201d The subcommittee, led by the president-elect, will select topics solicited from several ACSM committees and will include a member from each of the above disciplines.  <\/p>\n<p>Spotlight Subcommittee 2023 &#8211; 2024: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stella Volpe, FACSM \u2014 President-Elect;<\/li>\n<li>Bill Farquhar, FACSM \u2014 Basic Science representative;<\/li>\n<li>Karin Pfeiffer, FACSM \u2014 Applied Science representative;<\/li>\n<li>Sandra Hoffmann, FACSM \u2014 Clinical Medicine representative.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Note that you when you submit your abstract for the Annual Meeting, you will have the opportunity to check a box if your abstract fits within the Precision Health Spotlight!<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is Precision Health?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Genes, behaviors, lifestyle (such as exercise and eating habits), and environment are all factors that affect health and performance.
