BOSTON, MA<\/strong> – IHRSA, the Global Health & Fitness Association, announces that its Board of Directors has elected two new members. Ori Gorfine, President of US Fitness Holdings, and Richard Beddie, CEO of ExerciseNZ and chief of staff to the International Confederation of Registers for Exercise Professionals (ICREPs). Each assume positions on the Association\u2019s Board of Directors. Ori fills a vacant seat and Richard will represent IHRSA\u2019s Global Health & Fitness Alliance, a group of international senior industry leaders and stakeholders.<\/p>\n \u201cAs we move further into a new legislative session in the nation\u2019s capital, IHRSA Board of Directors\u2019 work is critical in helping the association raise our profile as an industry and work to secure passage of important legislation like the PHIT Act,\u201d said Board Chair Chris Craytor, CEO of acac Fitness & Wellness Centers and CEO of Welld Health. \u201cEach member\u2019s experience and diverse background helps ensure that IHRSA continues to reflect the important role our industry plays in helping consumers achieve better physical and mental health. I appreciate Ori and Richard\u2019s investment of time and energy to support the association and industry, and to continue our work of guiding IHRSA\u2019s ongoing transformation in the days ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n Ori Gorfine is the President of US Fitness Holdings, which owns and operates 55 full-service health clubs in five states and the District of Columbia with numerous new clubs planned, all under the Onelife Fitness banner. Prior to his time at US Fitness, Ori partnered with a fellow entrepreneur to launch Balance Gym, growing it to five locations in the District of Columbia. He earned a master\u2019s degree in international security from the University of Nottingham and a B.A. in international relations and philosophy from George Washington University.<\/p>\n Richard Beddie is the CEO of Exercise New Zealand and board chief of staff for the International Confederation of Registers for Exercise Professionals (ICREPs). Previously a multi-club owner, Richard has extensive governance experience in global exercise and recreation bodies and he is currently vice chair of IHRSA\u2019s Global Health & Fitness Alliance Advisory Council.
