COLORADO SPRINGS, CO<\/strong> – The National Strength and Conditioning Association Foundation announces the recipients of the Foundation\u2019s 2021 grants. Since the Foundation\u2019s creation in 2007, it has awarded 189 grants, including 15 new recipients this year. This year\u2019s recipients add to the prestigious legacy of those who came before them. The grants fulfill the Foundation\u2019s mission of supporting the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) by providing funding for educational and research endeavors that enhance the practical applications of strength and conditioning.<\/p>\n Grant recipients were selected by the NSCA Foundation Grant Committee and Grant Panel after a thorough evaluation process of all applications. The NSCA Foundation will distribute a total of over $164,000 to the following recipients: <\/p>\n Graduate Student Research Grant – Doctoral:<\/strong><\/p>\n Dimitrije Cabarkapa, University of Kansas*<\/p>\n Martin Dietze-Hermosa, The University of Texas at El Paso<\/p>\n Hayden Guiliani, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill<\/p>\n Brian Guthrie, George Mason University*<\/p>\n Jan Padecky, Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Charles University<\/p>\n Felix Proessl, University of Pittsburgh<\/p>\n Graduate Student Research Grant \u2013 Masters:<\/strong><\/p>\n Tanner Reece, University of Kansas*<\/p>\n Young Investigator Research Grant:<\/p>\n Johannes Rabe, West Virginia University<\/p>\n Eric Sobolewski, Furman University<\/p>\n Senior Investigator Research Grant:<\/strong><\/p>\n Trent Herda, University of Kansas*<\/p>\n Kristina Kendall, Edith Cowan University*<\/p>\n Military CSCS Support Grant:<\/strong><\/p>\n Jami Naber, US Air Force<\/p>\n Aaron May, US Air Force<\/p>\n Dr. Richard Borden Coaching Advancement Grant:<\/strong><\/p>\n David Lee<\/p>\n NSCA-CPT Support Grant:<\/strong><\/p>\n Nadia Goldstar<\/p>\n \u201cThe NSCA Foundation Board of Directors, Grant Committee, and Grant Panel would like to congratulate the 2021 NSCA Foundation grant recipients,\u201d said Dr. Nicole Dabbs, NSCA Foundation Board President. \u201cWe are enthusiastic for the recipients to conduct their research to educate and impact the strength and conditioning industry.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe NSCA Foundation is proud to support this year\u2019s grant recipients and their research endeavors. Their completed studies will have a meaningful impact on the industry and contribute to advancing the profession,\u201d said Carissa Gump, NSCA Foundation Executive Director.<\/p>\n All grant recipients must be active NSCA members, must fully complete the appropriate applications, and meet all specific requirements for individual grants.<\/p>\n An asterisk (*) indicates that school is a member of the NSCA Education Recognition Program (ERP).
