\"IHRSA:IHRSA: Success By Association<\/p>\n

BOSTON, MA<\/strong> – IHRSA is accepting applications for the John McCarthy Merit Scholarship for the 2015 IHRSA Institute, which will be held August 4-7 at the University of North Carolina\u2019s Kenan-Flagler Business School. Applicants must be from IHRSA member clubs.<\/p>\n

Named in honor of IHRSA\u2019s first Executive Director, the John McCarthy Merit Scholarship has a value of $2,850 and includes a full registration to the IHRSA Institute as well as a $500 travel stipend. Qualified candidates should be able to demonstrate their passion for, and absolute commitment to, the health club industry’s future, as well as provide evidence of their service, sales, and leadership skills. The Institute\u2019s graduate-level education, led by a faculty of industry experts and university professors, provides a balanced, structured curriculum. With an attendee limit, small class sizes are guaranteed in order to facilitate interaction and lively discussion.<\/p>\n

One of the most beneficial aspects of Institute attendance is the opportunity to network with club operators and personnel from around the globe. In fact, Institute alumni commonly cite that they developed long-lasting relationships with other members of their ‘graduating class’, and often look to these classmates for guidance and idea-sharing.<\/p>\n

The Institute Class of 2014 gave the program a Net Promoter Score of 96.<\/p>\n

The 2015 Institute Curriculum includes small class lectures, roundtables, group networking activities, and workouts. Lectures on Service Innovation<\/em> and The Power of Story Telling<\/em> will be presented by Kenan-Flagler Business School Professors. <\/p>\n
