EAST ROCHESTER, PA<\/strong> – In late-January, early February, Workout Anytime expects to open its first Pittsburgh-area gym. Workout Anytime will open in the East Rochester Plaza. The company\u2019s first Pittsburgh-area location will offer 24-hour-a-day gym access with strength-training equipment and rows of cardio equipment, plus stand-up and lay-down tanning booths and two Hydromassage machines.<\/p>\n New Year\u2019s resolution-makers can sign up now for Beaver County\u2019 new 24\/7 gym.<\/p>\n Local residents like Debra Tallon, a retired Beaver County Court House worker from Conway, took advantage this week of $1 pre-sale membership offers in Workout Anytime\u2019s temporary office across the plaza\u2019s parking lot next to the Goodwill.<\/p>\n Tallon said one of the things that appealed to her about the soon-to-open gym is its convenient location, right off Route 65 in the former Hollywood Video store that\u2019s been vacant for most of the past decade.<\/p>\n The gym\u2019s co-owner, Robert Sheppard, said location is a key consideration for the Atlanta-based Workout Anytime that operates 230 gyms nationally. A plaza with a grocery store and fast food outlet is a natural location.<\/p>\n \u201cOne of the things you learn in the gym experience is that it\u2019s all about convenience,\u201d Sheppard said. \u201d(People think) I want to be shopping and not have a reason not to exercise, so if I\u2019m already shopping here or I\u2019m at the Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe then I can go over and walk a little bit on the treadmill or things like that.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIf they do grocery shopping and bought bacon and they feel a little bit guilty, then they can just stop by here,\u201d the gym\u2019s co-owner, Lisa Sun, said. \u201cWe want to change people\u2019s lifestyles.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" EAST ROCHESTER, PA<\/strong> – In late-January, early February, Workout Anytime expects to open its first Pittsburgh-area gym.
