HAMPTON, N.H.<\/strong> – Planet Fitness, Inc., one of the largest and fastest-growing franchisors and operators of fitness centers in the U.S., announced its sponsorship of the new physical competition series MILLION DOLLAR MILE<\/em> as The Official Workout Partner, premiering March 27 at 9:00 PM EST on CBS. The show is brought to viewers by the executive producers of BIG BROTHER and SpringHill Entertainment along with Lee Metzger serving as Executive Producer and showrunner. Former NFL quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow hosts with Matt \u201cMoney\u201d Smith and ESPN reporter Maria Taylor acting as show commentators.<\/p>\n

MILLION DOLLAR MILE is a new 10-episode high-stakes competition series where contestants have the chance to win $1,000,000 every time they run the MILLION DOLLAR MILE. The only thing standing in their way is the most challenging course ever designed and a group of elite athletes \u2013 known as Defenders – with one mission: to stop the contestants from winning the money at all costs.<\/p>\n

Contestants are given a two-minute head start and will need to show what they\u2019re made of against the Defenders, a group of 10 top-ranked international athletes, including a Green Beret and \u201cArmy Athlete of the Year,\u201d the most decorated Obstacle Course Race (OCR) athlete in history and a two-time Guinness World Record holder for both the farthest and highest wall flips.<\/p>\n

Before the challenge begins, contestants will prepare for what lies ahead, both mentally and physically, in the Planet Fitness Warm Up Room. It will feature the brand\u2019s high-quality cardio and strength equipment (also available in more than 1,700 Planet Fitness locations nationwide) to help contestants prepare for the challenge of their lives with a proper total body workout.<\/p>\n
