MANASQUAN, N.J.<\/strong> – The Atlantic Club is proud to announce that it has earned the medical fitness facility certification from the Medical Fitness Association, a global leader in medical fitness standards. The prestigious certification applies to both The Atlantic Club\u2019s Manasquan and Red Bank locations.<\/p>\n To earn this certification, the Atlantic Club underwent a year of compliance testing and evaluation and a rigorous two-day, 209-point inspection. Under scrutiny were the club\u2019s programming, facility cleanliness and accessibility, emergency response protocols, child care safety standards, staffing credentials and more. <\/p>\n \u201cWe want people, especially those with health concerns or physical limitations, to have the utmost confidence and peace of mind when they visit the club,\u201d says Atlantic Club founder and President, Pat Laus. \u201cWhile The Atlantic Club has always been a leader in medical fitness, we now hold the most prestigious stamp of approval for medical fitness and safety. Every inch of our campuses\u2014from the individual cardio machines to the tennis courts and spa\u2014has been certified.\u201d<\/p>\n McHugh, The Chief Operating Officer of The Atlantic Club says members can trust that programs and fitness classes are in line with the latest medical research and, if requested by a member, the club\u2019s staff will communicate directly and regularly with the member\u2019s physician. Staff are also trained in screening members for health risks and developing smart, safe fitness plans.<\/p>\n Bob Boone, President and CEO of the Medical Fitness Association says that his association\u2019s medical fitness certification is not easily attained. \u201cThere are only 52 medically-certified health clubs in the world, and most facilities do not pass the first time around,\u201d he explains. \u201cThe Atlantic Club is now in the top 2-3% of clubs in the United States, so members ought to feel comfortable going to their club.\u201d<\/p>\n Staffing, for example, is one area the Medical Fitness Association looks at very closely.
