ATLANTA, GA<\/strong> – Aaron Davis, owner of Workout Anytime in Boiling Springs, South Carolina, received the Franchise of the Year award among new clubs and a People\u2019s Choice award for Best Social Media for 2017.<\/p>\n The awards were presented at the Atlanta-based 24\/7 fitness chain\u2019s annual convention held November 30th – December 2nd in Stone Mountain, Georgia.<\/p>\n Davis, who is originally of Greenville, opened his first Workout Anytime in January 2017 in an 8,500-square-foot space near Boiling Springs High School.<\/p>\n \u201cAaron and his team are doing a tremendous job,\u201d said Mark de Gorter, chief operating officer for Workout Anytime, which boasts 143 clubs in 19 states across the U.S. and plans to reach 150 locations by the end of the year.<\/p>\n \u201cHis location was among the highest in membership,\u201d de Gorter added. \u201cThey\u2019re doing a great job with their social media and offline marketing. He\u2019s a great operator that has brought a lot of excitement to the Upstate. We\u2019re looking forward to great things from Aaron.\u201d<\/p>\n Davis is in the process of opening his second gym in the Upstate in an 8,000-square-foot space at 700 E. Main St. in Duncan near Byrnes High School. He anticipates opening that location in late January.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s an honor to be recognized,\u201d Davis said. \u201cThe social media award is important, because that\u2019s how we communicate with our members. The Franchise of the Year award isn\u2019t just about membership numbers; it\u2019s about the experience. \u2026 I told my employees that the true winners are our members.\u201d<\/p>\n Davis said he believes Workout Anytime\u2019s value pricing and offering of month-to-month memberships are a few ingredients that have helped his franchise grow during the past year.<\/p>\n State-of-the-art equipment, tanning, HydroMassage, 24-hour access, and friendly and knowledgeable staff are just a few other amenities Davis said his customers have enjoyed.<\/p>\n \u201cWe will be trying to duplicate everything [at the new Duncan store] that we\u2019re doing in Boiling Springs,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Davis said that includes supporting Lift for the 22, a nonprofit headquartered in Oregon that seeks to fight the veteran suicide epidemic by creating a support network centered on fitness.<\/p>\n Through its partnership with Lift for the 22, Workout Anytime locations annually offer 22 local veterans one-year gym memberships for free.<\/p>\n Davis said he plans to launch the offer at his Duncan facility in mid-2018.<\/p>\n The owner said pre-sales for memberships at the Duncan location have begun, and prospective members can sign up at a trailer in front of the new space.<\/p>\n Davis said he is running a special promotion until the gym opens that allows new members to join for just $1.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" ATLANTA, GA<\/strong> – Aaron Davis, owner of Workout Anytime in Boiling Springs, South Carolina, received the Franchise of the Year award among new clubs and a People\u2019s Choice award for Best Social Media for 2017.
