MORRISVILLE, VT<\/strong> – Concept2 oars and sculls helped 32 crews step up on the podium at this year\u2019s Rio Olympics. That\u2019s 76% of all medal-winning crews at the Olympic Regatta. Nine crews won gold medals with Concept2 oars and sculls, each custom-built in their Morrisville, Vermont, factory.<\/p>\n The U.S. medaled in two events, the women\u2019s single sculls (Genevra Stone) and the women\u2019s eight. It was an exciting week full of hard conditions, hard racing and strong results by all crews. All of these athletes have trained on the Concept2 Indoor Rower to build their fitness to Olympic caliber. Full coverage of the event, including some close photo finishes, can be found at row2k.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n In Rio, Concept2 on-site Oar Technician Bob Beeman was presented with a thank you medal and certificate from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for Concept2\u2019s support of the athletes and their equipment.
