IHRSA 2015 in Los Angeles attracted over 13,000 industry professionals, including 8,000 convention and trade show attendees. Of that, over 43% of convention attendees and 24% of the trade show visitors were from outside the United States, representing 83 different countries. IHRSA 2016, IHRSA\u2019s 35th Annual International Convention &#038; Trade Show, taking place in Orlando, Florida March 21-24, promises to have an even larger international attendance thanks to the efforts of the association\u2019s many international partners, special tour groups and specific programming for international attendees.<\/p>\n<p>Special IHRSA 2016 tours are being promoted by IHRSA partners from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia \/ CIS &#038; Baltic countries, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe add at least one new country to our list of tours each year, and work to strengthen existing ones,\u201d said Alison Giannaras, IHRSA Associate Vice President of International Development. \u201cThis year, we added tours from the United Kingdom and Poland, while our Russian tour continues to lead the way with over 150 participants.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to be hosting a stimulating social and education tour to accommodate more than double the number of people from the UK attending IHRSA this year\u201d added Mel Spooner, of THE PROJECT NETWORK and IHRSA\u2019s Ambassador to the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>Programming and services specifically geared to IHRSA\u2019s International attendees include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Simultaneous translation of the keynotes and select educational sessions in Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, and Portuguese.<\/li>\n<li>Regional Forums for Latin America, Canada, Asia-Pacific, and the UK.<\/li>\n<li>Several country specific social events and the incredibly popular annual Planet IHRSA reception on Tuesday, March 22, which is open to all International convention attendees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cWe are sincerely grateful to each and every IHRSA partner, presenter, sponsor and exhibitor for making it easier for the global fitness industry to gather in Orlando,\u201d said Joe Moore, IHRSA president and CEO. \u201cEach of these attendees contributes towards making IHRSA 2016 the unique industry experience and celebration it promises to be.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For information about IHRSA 2016, visit <a href=\"http:\/\/ihrsa.org\/convention\" target=\"_blank\">ihrsa.org\/convention<\/a>.
