Bryant, Ph.D., FACSM, ACE chief executive officer. \u201cThis program offers a powerful opportunity for health and exercise professionals to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and families navigating Alzheimer\u2019s and other forms of dementia. We\u2019re proud to partner with Aion Fitness to bring this vital education to our community.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The Alzheimer\u2019s Fitness Specialist Program includes comprehensive education on: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The science of Alzheimer\u2019s and dementia;<\/li>\n<li>The role of exercise in supporting cognitive function and neuroplasticity;<\/li>\n<li>Behavior-change strategies for working with memory-impaired populations;<\/li>\n<li>Safety considerations and program design for individuals at risk and those living with various stages of Alzheimer\u2019s and other dementias.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cPhysical activity supports brain health at every stage of life, and we have the opportunity to make it even more effective. When exercise includes elements of fun, interactivity, and cognitive challenge, its benefits for brain health are significantly amplified,\u201d said Ross. \u201cBrain health is also shaped by lifestyle factors like sleep, stress, and social connection\u2014areas where health and fitness professionals can have a powerful impact.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Participants who complete the course will earn the ACE Alzheimer\u2019s Fitness Specialist credential, demonstrating their readiness to deliver person-centered fitness programming that supports both physical and emotional well-being for both clients and caregivers. <\/p>\n<p>The program is available now.
