The award is presented annually to the individual who best exemplifies the principles on which Joe Gold built World Gym.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMike Uretz forever changed World Gym and the industry. Without Mike\u2019s vision, leadership and larger than life personality, World Gym might have stayed just a single gym on the beach. Thanks to him, World Gym is in 20 countries and territories around the globe with even more in the works,\u201d said Joyce J. Cammilleri, Chair of World Gym International. \u201cI am honored to know and work with Mike and proud to honor him with the Joe Gold Lifetime achievement award.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Like most people, Uretz\u2019s first contact with the fitness industry was as a gym member. Mike worked out in Joe Gold\u2019s original gym. Joe would ask Mike for legal advice during his workouts. The two became friends and Joe asked Mike to leave his law practice to help him grow World Gym.
