Since its inception in 1985, ACE has grown from setting safety standards for aerobic dance instructors to becoming a global leader in health and fitness education and certification, with over 90,000 ACE-certified professionals living and working in more than 110+ countries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA lot of things have changed in the health and fitness industry over the past four decades, but one thing has remained the same: ACE\u2019s commitment to helping all people make healthy lifestyle choices and build sustainable habits that will ultimately help them live long and fulfilling lives,\u201d said CEO Cedric X. Aligning with these standards marked a critical step toward greater recognition by healthcare providers and set the stage for broader acceptance of exercise professionals as part of the healthcare continuum.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2010s:<\/strong> Took on leadership and advisory roles in high-profile initiatives, including First Lady Michelle Obama\u2019s Joining Forces, the National Coalition for Promoting Physical Activity (NCPPA) and the World Health Organization\u2019s (WHO) advisory panel for the Global Action Plan for Physical Activity Initiative.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2020s:<\/strong> Strengthened collaborations with organizations like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Special Olympics International, Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.
