Peloton announces new updates to Teams, the latest community feature in the Peloton App. Building on the launch of Teams in September 2024, which allowed Members to create small groups of friends and family, this expanded experience allows Members to now increase their fitness communities, foster connections with new and old friends, align on goals set by team administrators and celebrate accomplishments using emoji reactions and comments. <\/p>\n<p>By giving Members more opportunities to create, join, or discover Teams, we\u2019re enhancing our feature functionality in the hopes of encouraging accountability and fostering camaraderie \u2014 whether Members know each other in real life or they\u2019ve met on the leaderboard. But we didn\u2019t stop there. We listened to Member feedback and set out to make Teams more collaborative, inclusive, and motivating. <\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s the exciting lineup of features:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Expanded Communities:<\/strong> Teams can host up to 50,000 Members, making it easier than ever to connect with other Members.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Easy Discoverability:<\/strong> Explore Teams based on popularity, profile tags, featured community Teams, or search by team name and description.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Interactive Engagement:<\/strong> Celebrate your teammates&#8217; milestones using emoji reactions and comments.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Public Accessibility:<\/strong> Create Public Teams that other Peloton Members can join instantly, with team content visible to all participants.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Custom Goals:<\/strong> Team administrators can now set unique leaderboard goals, including distances for Running, Walking, Cycling, and Rowing.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Enhanced Admin Controls:<\/strong> New tools for managing challenges, assigning secondary admins, and overseeing large Teams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Research shows that connection is a critical component to maintaining a consistent fitness routine. In a survey hosted by Peloton, nearly 70% of respondents said they found online communities or Teams with friends and family to be relevant to achieving their fitness needs.* <\/p>\n<p>When asked how satisfied Members were with Teams, one stated, \u201cThis feature is very motivating and helps friends stay accountable while competing on a fun platform!\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Now available on the Peloton App in all Peloton markets, Teams is built on the belief that fitness doesn\u2019t have to be a solo experience.
