This year, NSCA received an overwhelming 380 applications from its Member community, reflecting a growing interest and commitment to careers in strength and conditioning. The NSCA Foundation Review Committee selects scholarship recipients based on applicants\u2019 grades, NSCA involvement, awards and honors, and other criteria.<\/p>\n<p>Since its founding in 2007, the NSCA Foundation has granted more than $3.4 million to advance the strength and conditioning industry through 225 research grants and 732 scholarships.<\/p>\n<p>Kealey Wohlgemuth, MS, CSCS, a part-time graduate instructor and doctoral research assistant at Texas Tech, reflects on the impact of being an NSCA Foundation multi-scholarship recipient:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would like to thank the NSCA Foundation for their support of graduate students and I am honored to be recipient of the Women&#8217;s Scholarship. With this award, it was possible for me to travel to conferences to present data as well as learn from other professionals in the field.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are thrilled to see such a strong response from our members. The dedication and passion demonstrated by these individuals are truly inspiring. Our scholarship recipients represent the future of our profession, and we are honored to support their educational and professional journeys,&#8221; states Scott Caulfield, NSCA Foundation President.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The selection process was incredibly competitive, with many outstanding candidates. We are excited to support these deserving recipients as they pursue their goals.
